Customer portal beta

My Garage beta terms

My Garage is an optional customer portal trial operated by Ayrshire MOT Ltd. The Ayrshire MOT website remains public. Portal records are available only after a verified sign-in is connected using a valid activation code. The garage may improve or correct the trial during the beta; we will explain material changes to customers. These terms do not reduce your statutory consumer rights.

Your account, activation codes and vehicles

On your first visit, enter the activation code supplied by Ayrshire MOT, then create or sign into a login you control. A new-customer code creates a personal customer profile and connects that login when the code is redeemed. An advanced existing-profile code can connect a login to a profile the garage already holds. Fleet users must each use a separate code and may have different access roles. Codes may be single-use, time-limited, use-limited or revoked. Do not share a personal or fleet code.

A campaign code creates a new blank starter profile. It does not search for, reveal or automatically connect previous garage history, vehicles, visits, invoices, points or fleet records. Contact the garage if an existing record needs to be reviewed and connected safely.

The garage may revoke a code, pause a login or suspend a profile to protect customer information or investigate misuse. Personal accounts may add two vehicles without staff approval. Further vehicles and a registration already linked elsewhere require staff review. Business and fleet profiles have no two-vehicle limit.

Work and reminders

The portal displays short, manually entered summaries, costs and vehicle dates. It may be incomplete or corrected later. Your garage invoice or job sheet is the record of the work and charges; check the official GOV.UK MOT record for MOT results and expiry. The portal does not confirm a booking. Any reminder feature will be clearly marked when enabled; an email cannot guarantee that a vehicle is roadworthy or legally compliant.

Loyalty points, when enabled

Points do not accrue while the scheme is switched off or for an account not marked eligible. Business and fleet accounts are excluded by default. When enabled, the portal shows the current earning rate, visit bonus, maximum points per visit, reward threshold, either a fixed reward or a capped percentage discount, minimum qualifying bill and expiry period. Staff award points after recording a completed paid visit. The visit's reward is calculated from the amount paid after any reward applied at the till. A refund, cancellation, duplicate or error may result in points being reversed or corrected, with a recorded reason.

Points earned on a visit cannot be used on that same visit. Staff apply at most one available reward to a later eligible bill at the till. Rewards are not cash, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and cannot exceed the bill. Points expire under the rule shown when earned; older unexpired points are used first.

Changes during the trial

The garage may change future earning and redemption rules with reasonable notice. We will not reduce valid points solely because a new rate is introduced, or retrospectively shorten the published expiry period for points already earned. If a change would make existing points materially harder to use, the garage will explain a fair transition. We may pause the scheme to investigate errors or misuse.

Privacy and help

Our privacy notice explains how sign-in, activation, membership, profile, vehicle, visit, points and feedback data are used. You can stop using the beta at any time; contact enquiries@ayrshiremot.com for help or to exercise your data rights.
