Recruitment privacy notice
Ayrshire MOT Ltd (SC758533) is responsible for your recruitment information. Our workshop is Unit 69, Third Avenue, Heatherhouse Industrial Estate, Irvine KA12 8HN.
What we collect and why
We collect your name, email address, telephone number, driving licence status, workshop experience, training, availability and your initial answer about UK right to work, plus any optional skills, qualifications and contact preferences you provide. We use this information to assess your application and contact you about the role, not for marketing. Right-to-work documents are checked later, not through this form.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before an employment contract and our legitimate interest in managing recruitment fairly and securely. Please do not send sensitive information or identity documents. You can optionally attach a PDF or Word CV (up to 2 MB). It is stored within your private application record and is accessible only to authorised garage administrators.
Access and email
Only authorised garage administrators can review applications and internal recruitment notes. The website and application database are hosted by Base44. Resend handles recruitment notification and acknowledgement emails. The garage notification includes your name, role and a link to the sign-in-protected review screen; it does not contain your full application answers or CV. We do not sell recruitment information.
12-month retention
Application records, attached CVs and their internal notes are scheduled for deletion 12 calendar months after submission, regardless of outcome, including Hired. Automated cleanup runs daily, so removal from the active recruitment system can take up to a further 24 hours. Administrators can delete an application earlier. If you are employed, any separate employment records are handled under the garage’s employee privacy arrangements.
Recruitment notifications and acknowledgements are separate mailbox copies; the garage must also remove its recruitment emails in line with this 12-month policy. System backups and provider logs may follow the hosting and email providers’ deletion cycles.
Your rights and questions
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise your rights or request help applying or an interview adjustment, email enquiries@ayrshiremot.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
See the website privacy notice for supplier and international transfer information.
